We can import your item list into your Estimate Rocket account for use inside the program. Below is a breakdown of the format we use for importation. Once your item list is ready you can send it to us and we will get it imported for you.
Item Import Format
1.) Your item list file must be in CSV format. Here are instructions for converting your client list to CSV format using Excel and Google Sheets.
Excel: To convert your document using Excel first open the document and then go to File>Save As and change the File Format to CSV.
Google Sheets: Open your document in Google Sheets or copy and paste your client list into a new sheet. Once the client list in in Google Sheets go to File>Download>Comma Separated Values (.csv).
2.) Here is a list of the available data columns:
- Name
- Units
- Description
- Unit Price
- Unit Cost
- Section
- Type (material, labor)
- Taxable (true, false)
- Work Notes (Notes only visible on work orders and inside the app)
