Sending messages to your clients through email is critical for your proposals to be reviewed and eventually accepted.
Recently it has come to our attention that some email companies are putting the Estimate Rocket emails directly into a spam folder as a default.
Some of the email providers that we have learned of recent problems are Yahoo.com and ymail.com
This new development appears to be based on ‘new security policies’ that have been put in place by the email companies. In one phone call to the support department of an email provider they stated 'We put the 1st email from any new sender into the spam folder as a default'.
To remedy this situation the recipient of the email must mark the message as Not Spam to move the existing message into the inbox, enable any embedded links and to ensure the delivery of future messages directly to the inbox.
Below is an example of a message to a Yahoo email account that ended up in a spam folder by default.
After marking the above message as ‘Not Spam’ using the buttons in the dark blue at the top additional messages from Fred Q at City Paint Pro were properly deposited in the inbox.
Estimate Rocket currently does have a feature that will allow our customers to text documents to their clients directly, thus avoiding the random email company ‘security updates’ that divert messages.
- SMS open rate is 98% versus 20% for email.
- 90% of SMS messages are read within 3 minutes
- Click through rate in SMS is 36% versus 3.2% for email
