In Estimate Rocket it is simple to manage scope of work changes in any project.
No need to worry about cash flow or profit margin because adding the scope will allow the client to sign off on the changes and track the cash flow and profit margin the same as the original proposal.
Original Scope of Work
In Estimate Rocket the original scope of work is captured and priced before being sent to the client for acceptance of the proposal. In this case the polyfoam lift and level project is to take care of the driveway and the walkway.
The client has signed off on the project and the work has been started. You have scheduled this 48 hour project for 2 days with a multi person crew.
Additional Scope of Work
Now that you have started the work the client appreciates the professionalism of your crew and has asked you to look at the concrete in their pool area.
Adding the additional scope of work is simple in Estimate Rocket, in this case the pool lift and level scope was added in a new item group to emphasize this is a change in scope and to allow the client to sign off on the additional work as a change order.
Once the client agrees to the new scope of work Estimate Rocket will automatically put the new project amount into your cash flow reports and calculate your profit margine the same way it does the original scope of work.
The added hours from the pool area will also display on the Work Scheduled report indicating to you there will be a need to change the schedule on this project as well. In this case 30 hours were added and with 1 additional day the crew should be able to complete this work.
