Zapier Setup Steps
Step 1: For the first step, search for Email by Zapier in the Choose App dialog, then select the New Inbound Email event and click Continue.
Next, under Set up trigger, create your custom email address. You will set your email templates TO email address to this email. Use the Copy feature to copy the address to paste into the Estimate Rocket Email Templates that you create for texting.
Click Continue and then send an email like the template example above to your custom email address. Then Test the Trigger. There is probably not any real data available as you are first setting this up but if you configure the Estimate Rocket email you can get something in the queue to test with.
Next Click the + button to add another step to the Zap. Search for Formatter by Zapier. Select Text from the Event drop down menu and click Continue.
Next, in Set up action, select Transform, Extract Phone Number. For the Input field select the Email Subject which should have the Clients or Employees phone number you want to text too. Click Continue and then Test Action. Then Click the + to add the final Step.
Search for SMS in Twilio. Select Event - Send SMS and Click Continue.
Connect to your Twillio account using the credentials from sign up.
The from number will be determined from what you selected at sign-up.
The to number will be what you parsed as a number in step 2.
The message will be the body of your email. Keep this to a limited character count.
