Expanded client based communications
Estimate Rocket has offered email based communications directly to clients for proposals, change orders, invoices and receipts as direct communications to the clients from a project. Other enhancements in the client communication have included the ability to text (SMS) your client a proposal, change order, invoice or receipt.
Automated communications, that were formerly only with email, have now been enhanced, to allow for text (SMS) messages to follow up on appointments, pending proposals, invoices due and even to get reviews or follow up on regular service work once a project has been completed.
The text templates can have a link to the customer portal where the client can see all documents and communicate directly with you through a 2 way messaging feature.
This rapid communication can help you close more deals quickly and grow your business.
SMS Templates - Similar to Email Templates
Add SMS templates the same way that you would an email template. The SMS templates support up to 300 characters and can have links to the customer portal as well as to external URLs. Include a reference to what project type or stage the message would typically be used for as well as the targeted recipients (client, sender, project owner).

This can be a great way to remind your client of an upcoming appointment, pending proposal or work order, reminding them of an invoice amount due or asking for a review once a project is completed.

Add SMS Template to Follow Up Campaign
The SMS templates add to a follow up campaign the same way the email templates add to that campaign and follow the same constraints that email templates follow. You can have both an email and text that send on the same day.

Ad-Hoc use of SMS Text Templates
Text templates can now be used similarly to email templates. By clicking the ‘Text Message’ button on the project detail screen a dialogue will open allowing you to select from your list of your saved SMS templates.

Formerly this button was ‘Text Document’ but with the addition of the SMS templates your flexibility on what can be sent has been improved.

New Client SMS Defaults
With the addition of the SMS Templates there have also been changes to the defaults when adding a new client. The ‘Can receive SMS for Project Documents’ and ‘Can received SMS for Messages in Portal’ will be enabled to yes by default. The ‘Can received SMS for Appointment Reminders’ setting will needed to be enabled manually because based on our customer feedback this feature needed some additional changes to become more widely used.

During any point in the client addition / edit process these settings can be changed.
Improvements to Appointment Reminders
In the estimate pending completion and the work order pending completion follow up campaigns the user has the ability to have these trigger based on a count down of days until the appointment.
Improvements here have the email and SMS countdown trigger based on a time, that you choose, set in the company settings.

With this setting the reminder email and SMS will send at 8:00am, or the time of your choosing.
